What is event-driven architecture?
In event-driven architecture, components publish changes as events and other components react to them.
Event flow
Producers send events to a broker and consumers subscribe to queues or topics. Consumers should handle duplicate delivery and account for ordering and retries.
Uses and limitations
Inventory and notifications can react independently to an order. Loose coupling helps scale but makes tracing harder, requiring correlation IDs and observability.
