What is a concept map?
A concept map represents ideas as nodes connected by labeled relationships.
Key concepts and practice
A learner chooses a central idea, adds related concepts and labels links with phrases such as “causes” or “includes.” Cross-links reveal relationships among clusters. Listing words side by side is not enough.
Examples, evaluation and limits
It can reveal initial understanding and changes after a lesson. Discuss whether links are accurate; visual polish is not evidence of correctness. Smaller submaps may help with complex topics.
