What does a network administrator do?
A network administrator sets up and monitors reliable communication among an organization’s devices and services.
Duties and work settings
They may manage routers, switches, wireless access and addressing. To investigate faults, they review traffic paths, logs and change history. Networking involves capacity and outages, not just connecting cables.
Skills, safety and entry routes
Access controls, updates and segmentation matter for security. Document changes and plan rollback so one setting does not cause a widespread outage.
