How can payment of the YKS application fee be verified?

Added: 4 November 2026

Paying a YKS application fee and completing the examination transaction in ÖSYM’s system can be distinct records. Its 2026 application and completion announcements emphasize finishing both application and fee payment within the applicable window. A candidate should check selected sessions, the authorized payment route and the status displayed in AİS together. A bank transaction screen on its own is not an examination admission document.

Matching details before payment

1. Which exam and sessions are involved? Check the correct YKS year and selected TYT, AYT or YDT sessions in AİS. Read that year’s guide for how the fee relates to sessions rather than copying an earlier amount. If the payment page shows the wrong examination code or applicant detail, find the official correction route before proceeding. Paying for another exam does not complete a YKS application. Avoid exposing identity and card information in public advice groups. Review the transaction through your own account, even if another person helped with the mechanics. Keep the intended session list alongside the payment record. 2. What is the authorized payment route? Follow the banks or online channels designated in the applicable ÖSYM guide and announcement. Never transfer funds to a social-media account or an unfamiliar “instant payment” link. Compare amount, year and session selection again on the payment screen. Check whether a late-application day has a distinct fee before assuming the ordinary rate applies. After payment, retain the transaction reference securely. A reference number alone does not prove that the exam application in AİS reached the completed state. A legitimate payment must be matched to the right candidate and examination. 3. Is bank confirmation sufficient? Even if a bank reports success, check whether the payment is reflected for the correct examination in ÖSYM’s candidate system. A receipt can document a payment attempt, but it cannot by itself explain the selected sessions, completed form and institutional matching. Read the name, exam year and status in any AİS application summary. Applicants registering for multiple examinations should take care not to inspect a receipt for the wrong one. Report a visible mismatch through an official channel before the deadline. Do not infer admission from a card charge alone.

Reading the transaction state

4. What if payment appears missing? If you paid but AİS still shows an unpaid or incomplete transaction, inspect the bank timestamp, reference and exact exam code before making a blind second payment. Use the correction or contact route announced for that year by ÖSYM. An authorized office can inspect a personal record; a general article cannot promise an automatic correction or refund. If a cutoff is close, retain a private record of the error screen. Never disclose a password or full card details to a supposed helper. Ask whether a bank confirmation has reached the specific YKS transaction. 5. Why does the final hour matter? ÖSYM’s 2026 completion notice stated that application and fee payment would close at 23:59 on 12 March 2026. That was a year-specific transaction deadline, not a permanent YKS rule. Opening the payment screen at the last minute can leave too little time to verify bank approval and the AİS state. Read both date and hour, as well as payment conditions. Ordinary and late-application procedures may differ. Return to the guide for the current cycle rather than assuming a historical final hour or fee structure applies again. 6. What shows a complete transaction? In AİS, review the correct examination year, sessions, contact and education details, payment and completed application state together. Saving one field may not finish the whole process. Store the official summary securely and check the separate exam admission document when ÖSYM releases it. If an inconsistency remains, contact the institution with precise transaction information. A visible payment does not independently guarantee a particular test centre, another session or eligibility. The authoritative status follows the candidate record and official rules for the applicable examination year.
