What is Artificial intelligence?
Artificial intelligence is a field concerned with computer systems performing tasks such as learning, recognising patterns and supporting decisions.
Where is it used?
Examples include text processing, image recognition and recommendation systems. Outputs depend on the data and design used and may contain errors or bias.
Why does ethics matter?
UNESCO identifies human rights, transparency, fairness and human oversight as key principles of AI ethics. The impact of a system cannot be judged by technical performance alone.
