Vessel catches fire in Strait of Hormuz after incident northeast of Oman, UKMTO says

A vessel transiting ​outbound in the Strait of Hormuz was on fire ‌following ‌an ​incident ‌on ⁠Thursday, 25 ​nautical miles ⁠northeast of Oman’s Khasab, the United ⁠Kingdom Maritime ‌Trade Operations (UKMTO) ‌said. The ​cause ‌of ‌the fire was unknown, and ‌the status of the crew, extent ⁠of ⁠damage and environmental impact were also unknown, UKMTO said, citing ​a ​third-party report.
