French high schoolers' accelerated political awareness: 'I quickly realized I had to arm myself intellectually to avoid being discredited'

For many young people in France, the high school movement has coincided with a heightened political awareness that has transformed their daily lives, six months ahead of a presidential election in which most of them will not be able to vote.
