Australian couple postpone wedding to build dream castle; 22 years later, it remains unfinished
An Australian couple who postponed their wedding to build a fairytale castle in Tasmania are still working on it 22 years later. Christina Kent and Francis Shepherd have used around 100,000 bricks to construct the 27-room Castle Phoenix, which stands 17 metres tall. Despite financial and health challenges, only three of its eight turrets are complete, and their wedding remains on hold.
