Air defenses intercept, destroy ballistic missile launched toward southern Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi militia toward the Kingdom’s southern region, the Saudi Defense Ministry said on Monday. Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense lifted warning alerts in Taif, Abha, Najran and Khamis Mushait after an aerial threat had passed. The alerts had been issued as a precaution amid the threat.
